The following are the rules for the Minecraft server network Timolia.de. By using any service provided by Timolia, every user accepts all points of the rules and must comply with them. Disregard can lead to sanctions, up to exclusion from the Timolia network and all associated pages and services.

Furthermore, rules may change at any time. The date of the last change is always displayed under the last point of the rulebook.

§2 – Modifications (Mods)/Hacks, Resource Packs, and Minimaps

Section titled “§2 – Modifications (Mods)/Hacks, Resource Packs, and Minimaps”

Any modifications in and to the game are prohibited on Timolia. This generally includes all mods, but also certain types of advantageous resource packs, especially transparent or X-ray resource packs. Macros and other modifications to the Minecraft client, mouse, and keyboard that enable the spamming of keys/commands and chat messages or increasing click speed are also prohibited. This specifically includes MouseTweaks as well as the use of programmable keyboards, mice, or hotkeys for the purposes mentioned above. Skin blinkers and all types of minimaps are also prohibited. Generally, you can assume that any gameplay-relevant, advantage-providing changes are forbidden. This includes, for example, using the mouse wheel as an alternative to a mouse button.

Exceptions to this regulation are aesthetic mods like OptiFine or Shaders, as well as the 5zig and LabyMod. You can find a detailed list of all allowed mods here. If you wish to play with a mod not listed, we recommend contacting Timolia Support. The list is regularly updated and adapted. Mods that offer comparable functions to those listed here but are not on the list have not been tested by us and may potentially lead to a ban. We therefore advise against using these mods without asking.

Bugusing is the deliberate exploitation of game errors that result in unintended consequences and is, of course, prohibited. Instead, it is requested that these bugs be reported to the team on Discord or ingame. This prohibition also applies to exploiting bugs in basically allowed modifications.

The Timolia team expects fair and respectful behavior from every player.

All insults are prohibited. Bypassing the chat filter using spaces, punctuation, etc., is also prohibited.

  • Discrimination: Excluding, insulting, or inciting hatred against other nationalities, ethnicities, beliefs, sexualities, and minorities is prohibited on Timolia and will result in a ban without warning.
  • National Socialism: National Socialist statements, slogans, and similar are prohibited on Timolia and will result in a ban without warning.

Paragraph 2 – Advertising and Phishing/Fraud

Section titled “Paragraph 2 – Advertising and Phishing/Fraud”
  • Self-Promotion: Self-promotion in the form of advertising for your own YouTube channel, TeamSpeak, or similar is prohibited. Advertising for your own livestream is allowed, as long as it is not spammed. In 1v1-Kit, advertising for your own YouTube channel or Twitter account is allowed.
  • Server Advertising: Server advertising is prohibited. Even sending a server address once can and will be perceived as advertising and sanctioned accordingly. Sending an IP or server address via private chat is allowed as long as nobody is harassed or active advertising is pursued.
  • Phishing and Fraud: To prevent phishing and fraud, private trading on the server is prohibited in any form. This includes the alleged sale of Minecraft accounts, free offers for things like Optifine capes, and similar. Harvesting user data such as passwords and emails from other users through false promises is a criminal offense and will be reported. Likewise, a permanent exclusion from the Timolia network will occur. This also applies to the mere attempt.
  • Tournament Advertising in 1vs1: Advertising for a tournament through any type of winnings with material value is prohibited. This includes promising Paysafecards or Minecraft accounts for winning a tournament.

Offensive, insulting, racist, or National Socialist skins and usernames are prohibited. This includes, for example, nude skins, Hitler skins, and also capes with corresponding symbols. Timolia also reserves the right to block skins, capes, and similar that, in our view, convey morally incompatible values, even if they do not explicitly fall under the categories mentioned above.

Deliberately misleading team members is prohibited. Sanctions resulting from this will not be lifted. It is also forbidden to frame players for a rule violation they did not commit through fake reports. Furthermore, any form of exploitation of the report system is prohibited.

Boosting your stats in various game modes through unfair gameplay methods is not allowed on Timolia. This includes, but is not limited to, kits that provide a significant advantage over the opponent through identical or similar items.

Paragraph 1 - Ranked System and Friday Tournament

Section titled “Paragraph 1 - Ranked System and Friday Tournament”

Apologies and Weighting:

Every player has the opportunity to apologize for a violation of the Ranked rules at any time. The more frequently you have been punished for corresponding violations in the past, the lower the chance that your apology will lead to a reduction in ban time or a full unban.

Rules:

  • VPN: (Violation results in Ranked ban from current season + Elo reset) Playing on a VPN or otherwise masking your own IP is prohibited.

  • Account Sharing: (Violation results in Ranked ban from current season + Elo reset) Playing in the Ranked queue is only permitted on your own accounts.

  • Multi-accounting: (Violation results in Ranked ban from current season + Elo reset) Playing with multiple accounts is prohibited.

  • Elo Manipulation: (Violation results in 5-day Ranked ban + match invalidation) Manipulating Elo, e.g., intentional losing, asking for surrender, etc., is prohibited.

  • Camping & Kiting: (Violation results in warning + match invalidation) Camping, such as building up in a corner, is prohibited. Full-healing or unnecessarily delaying a fight through rodding, placing water buckets, etc. (kiting), is prohibited.

Inappropriate kits are all 1v1 kits that, in Timolia’s estimation, disrupt a fair or pleasant gaming experience. These include:

  • Crash Kits: Kits that cause a player’s Minecraft client to freeze, crash, or prevent participation in the game.
  • Cosmetic Kits: Kits created with a modified client that include changes not possible with an unmodified Minecraft client – e.g., modified effects, item properties, or heart count.
  • Provocative or Trolling Kits: Such as offensive names, symbolic provocation, or deliberately unplayable kit constructions.
  • Hacker Kits: Kits intentionally designed for the use of unfair advantages. All kits of this type are prohibited on Timolia. They will be deleted by us. Repeated creation or use of such kits can be punished with a ban.

The general Timolia rules also apply to worlds created in JumpWorld. Thus, any types of racist, offensive, or insulting structures, world names, or phrases on signs are prohibited.

  • Teaming: Teams are prohibited in 4rena FFA. In 4rena 2v2, cross-teaming is prohibited. If a team is warned by a supporter and continues to team, all team members will be kicked or banned.

§10 – Timolian Games (Timolianische Spiele)

Section titled “§10 – Timolian Games (Timolianische Spiele)”

Unnecessarily delaying the game is not desired. This explicitly includes actions such as: house building, animal farming, and hunting the Ender Dragon. Teams are allowed in any size.

  • Teaming: In the InTime game mode, teams of any size are prohibited.
  • Letting time be stolen: Letting time be stolen is defined as intentionally letting another player steal your own time with the clock so that they get more time. If this is detected, both the player who intentionally let their time be stolen and the player who stole the time will be kicked and noted. Repeated occurrences can also lead to a ban here.

Teaming across team boundaries (so-called cross-teaming) is prohibited. Intentional obstruction of your own team members in the form of gold theft, destruction of your own structures, untactical spawn-trapping, and other possible methods that hinder the usual flow of the game is also prohibited and will be sanctioned accordingly. Spawn-trapping is considered untactical if you cannot pick up a flag in the base of the spawn-trapped opponents or kill the opponents longer than necessary to steal the flag.

Teaming across team boundaries (so-called cross-teaming) is prohibited. Intentional obstruction of your own team members in the form of breaking blocks underneath them (so-called spleefing), stealing items, and intentional failure to release them from prison or other methods that hinder the usual flow of the game is also prohibited and will be sanctioned accordingly.

Teaming across team boundaries (so-called cross-teaming) is prohibited. Intentional obstruction of your own team members in all forms is not allowed and will be sanctioned accordingly.

In UHC, there are various rules displayed at the start of each round. These are:

  • Strip mining and similar is allowed
  • Spamming chunk reloads is prohibited
  • Towering is prohibited from the 50x50 border onwards
  • Griefing and excessive chasing during the farm time is prohibited
  • Teaming or cross-teaming is allowed, unless announced otherwise during the current UHC
  • Bugusing is prohibited
  • Camping from the 100x100 border onwards is prohibited

§16 – Unbanning, Ban Reduction, and Ban Evasion

Section titled “§16 – Unbanning, Ban Reduction, and Ban Evasion”
  • Permanent Bans: Basically, all bans are temporary. However, if a player exceeds a total ban time of 30 days, they are automatically banned permanently.
  • Unbanning: If a player believes a ban is unjustified, they can create a support ticket on Discord at any time and request evidence. If you are permanently banned, you can submit an application for an unban on Discord. You should put a lot of effort into this, as it is very difficult to be unbanned after a permanent ban.
  • Ban Reduction: From a period of at least 10 days, every user has the right to submit an application for ban reduction on Discord. If you have a total ban time of over 46 days, you must wait until your ban days have expired down to 46 days or less. Please also note that you can only apologize if you have not already apologized 3 times in the last 6 months, nor has a ban been lifted in this period. If your Discord account is not yet verified, you can verify it on the Minecraft server register.timolia.de.
  • Ban Evasion: Evading bans with a secondary account is prohibited on Timolia. The account, the person using the account, and the address used at that time are considered “banned”. If ban evasion is proven, the original ban will expire one month slower, meaning an apology/unban is only possible 30 days later than before. Accounts used to evade the ban will be permanently excluded from the Timolia network without ban expiration and will only be unbanned upon request and activation of Two-Factor Authentication. Sharing account data including 2fa codes or secrets of an account that was already permanently banned for ban evasion without ban expiration results in a new permanent exclusion without ban expiration from the Timolia network, but without the possibility of a new unban. In the case of repeated violations of the ban evasion prohibition, all affected accounts can be blocked on Timolia permanently and without a chance of unbanning. Ban days of the original account are transferred to secondary accounts.

§17 – Reimbursement for Technical Errors

Section titled “§17 – Reimbursement for Technical Errors”
  • If pixels or points are reset due to technical errors (server crashes, etc.), the team’s standard policy is not to reimburse them.
  • If you notice violations of the rules, it is requested to always report them with evidence on Discord or ingame to a team member.
